Salvation of God is Sent Unto the Gentiles

Acts 27-28

Salvation of Those on the Ship

At the beginning of the journey, no one heeded Paul’s warning

By the end of the trip, everyone was listening to Paul

Salvation of Those on the Island

Anyone who could not speak Greek was called Barbarians

These kind people built a fire for the shipwrecked 276

God allowed Paul to be bitten by a snake to prove to the people that God’s hand was upon them

Salvation of Those in Rome

There first stop on land was Puteoli, where the centurion had business to attend to.

For those seven days Paul was allowed to see other Christians

They came from all around which encouraged Paul

Paul then was able to reach many of the Jews that lived in Rome with the Gospel

Paul ended the meeting with the Jews by quoting Isaiah 6:9-10

Vs. 28 Now God will be concentrating on the Gentiles hearing the gospel instead of the Jews.

While waiting for trial, for two years Paul was able to rent a place under armed guards and was allowed to receive visitors and friends.

During this time Paul won members of the Roman Guard (Philippians 1:13-18), members of Caesar’s household (Philippians 4:22), a runaway slave from Colosse (Philemon)
